Looking at the unemployment rate or other economic indicators, it’s easy to believe you’re lucky to have this job.
Nonsense.
The company you work for is lucky to have you.
You invest every day some part of yourself into your work. One of the biggest choices available to you is where exactly you’ll be making that investment.
Is the project you are working on worth your time?
Are the hours spent on planes, in meetings, not with your family worth the hours you’ll never get back?
It’s fine to invest in the wrong place for a few days. Even a few months.
But spending years on projects you don’t care about or working for a company/with someone who doesn’t care about you is a bad investment.
You deserve better.
